🌳 Root Chakra

The Root Chakra

Mooladhara Chakra, as it is known in Sanskrit, is the first of the seven major chakras. It is also called the Base chakra since it's located at the base of the spine, surrounding our genitalia.

It relates to our survival instinct and  sense of security, it's what grounds us to the physical world.

The Root Chakra element is Earth, it's associated colors are Red or Black

Here are the features that define the Base Chakra.

A Balanced Root Chakra

When our Root Chakra is balanced we feel certanty, confidence and grounded - stable.

An over-active Root Chakra

When our Root Chakra is "too open" we tend to feel overconfident, arrogant and cocky. It's breeding ground for Anger and rigidity of boundaries (ie.: It's has to be your way). People around you will perceive you as insensitive and egoistical.

A Blocked Root Chakra

When our Root Chakra is not open enough, we'll experience anxiety and unjustified fear. That may lead to the development of phobias, panic and even sexual dysfunctions.

How to Balance the Root Chakra

Rule of the thumb is that most Red or Black Healing Crystals will tune the Root Chakra to the correct vibration.

One technique is to meditate while holding a Root Chakra Healing Crystal. You must emit an intent of safety, stability, that nothing can take you down. The Earth is with you and you're one with it. You're connected, you belong.
